Travel: Up to 15% of domestic and international to include development and fragile contexts.
Salary Range: $107,412- $178,259. Applies to locations with a market similar to our U.S. HQ in the Greater Seattle area. A different range may apply based on your work location. Please note the typical hiring range is $114,498- $142,837 a year. Job offers within the range are based on relevant job qualifications and pay equity. This range applies to many major U.S. cities. The Job:
The DCoP will provide leadership and support for a significantly large grant and/or in fragile and conflict regions. Lead in the successful implementation of multi-million-dollar, multi-year, GAVI, United States Government (USG) and/or major UAS Foundation grant funded project. Provide technical strategic guidance, oversight, administration, fiscal management, and grant and contract administration and management, assuring quality, impact, and cost effectiveness of the project. Assemble and motivate a team of technical local staff and short-term advisors promoting an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect. Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word, and sign.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, devotions, chapel, prayer, worship); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role.
- Serve as World Vision’s technical lead facilitating technical conversations with the donor. Gain understanding of donor expectations and as appropriate negotiate deliverables and timelines. Communicate donor expectations to World Vision staff and oversee the achievement of project deliverables aligned with donor expectations.
- Direct and oversee World Vision’s work in assigned program, ensuring well managed grant and strong documentation of results. Responsible for ensuring all program goals are met on time and within budget.
- Identify issues and risks related to program implementation in a timely manner and suggest appropriate program adjustment to the Chief of Party/Program Director.
- Ensure grant/project expenses are reasonable, allocable, and spent in accordance with donor rules and regulations to ensure clean audits.
- Oversee supply chain, logistics and equipment acquisition, disposition, and management in compliance with WV internal and donor requirements.
- Provide strategic technical guidance on the implementation and management to ensure innovative practices, and lessons learned are incorporated into program as follows:
- As assigned, represent the project at meetings with stakeholders ensuring the project is well represented.
- Country plans incorporate innovative strategies.
- Strategies are included in emergency plans, microplanning process, and operational plans.
- Training is provided to personnel and the community in aspects of program implementation.
- Coordination with other strategies and services.
- Develop key performance indicators and establish and maintain effective project reporting, evaluation, and communication systems. Submit timely accurate and professional program reports that meet donor requirements to appropriate World Vision Partners staff.
- Hire, fire, train, and counsel employees under direct supervision; evaluate employee performance against individual and team goals and recommend salary increases, promotions and other personnel actions.
- Provide leadership, coaching and hands-on mentoring to employees working in assigned areas of responsibility.
- Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as a member of a team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity.
You Bring These Skills:
Proven ability to design country plans by incorporating innovative immunization strategies for the delivery of vaccines and related supplies to zero-dose children in populations far from the reach of the government. Strong coordination skills and ability to leverage vaccination opportunities with other strategies such as SBC, GESI, Emergency response, and integration of services such as nutrition, WASH, and MNCH activities to reach zero-dose children.
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in International Development or relevant field. In addition to education, requires over 10 years of progressive professional experience in international development with experience leading complex projects and managing subgrants and contracts under for complex projects. Proven ability to provide leadership and technical assistance to staff with a commitment to teamwork.
Salary Range & Benefits:
