The Third-Party Monitoring (TPM) Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Evidence and the Chief of Party (COP). The TPM Coordinator will lead the implementation of the project TPM work. This will be a full-time position based remotely in the Tigray Region, Ethiopia.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and consult with USAID and USAID Implementing Partners (IPs) on an ongoing basis, under the leadership of the Director of Evidence.
- Develop the monitoring plan including site visit plans, specifying IPs, sectors, and modalities to be monitored, following consultations with USAID and USAID IPs.
- Contribute to the development of data collection instruments specific to humanitarian sectors and implementation modalities.
- Oversee the training of data collection teams and implementation of data collection.
- Coordinate with USAID IPs to plan data collection specific logistics.
- Ensure the quality of the data collected in the field is valid and in line with the technical design of the project.
- Oversee the work of the data analyst including review and correcting all monitoring reports.
- Communicate any monitoring activity shortcomings to relevant parties and take the appropriate steps to improve team and individual performance when and where needed.
- Responsible for the quality and timeliness of all TPM deliverables.
- Conduct and oversee quantitative and qualitative analysis of raw data and organize data for use by the team.
- Support in the presentation of findings, conclusions, and recommendations to program stakeholders as requested.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a field such as economics, sociology, social sciences, information technology, or statistics is required.
- Minimum five years of relevant professional experience is required.
- Minimum two years of experience working on any of the development and humanitarian sectors (health and nutrition; water, sanitation, and hygiene; food security; economic recovery and market systems; protection; emergency shelter) is required.
- Experience conducting research and data collection in Ethiopia is required.
- Fluency in Amharic and English required.
