Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure is currently seeking Senior Project Manager. The position will provide overall project management and direction on a large multi-million dollar Design-Build project located in Saudi Arabia. Responsible for the management of all Client requirements, construction activities, project quality, schedule, and cost. This position will involve assignment to Saudi Arabia
Key Responsibilities

All project management activities required to deliver a project that is On Time, On Budget and Accident Free

leader in promoting and following the Health and Safety Plan

Independently Lead, manage and motivate project personnel and subcontractors to achieve successful completion of the project

Planning, sequencing, scheduling and directing the work including the submittal process to achieve on time and budget results

Lead the scheduling effort to keep the schedule current and accurate

Produce 3 Month look ahead schedules that clearly define near term work required to maintain the overall schedule including any specific project milestones

Manage subcontractors, self-perform workers, and support staff for adherence to design, quality standards, safety, budget, schedule and project plans

Manage the development of plans and specifications, for Design Build projects to see that CFC design conforms with project budget / bid

Manage the monthly invoicing process including WIP and AR to see that invoices are submitted and payment received on time

Prepare reports as directed that are all inclusive of the work being performed, sufficiently detailed, accurate and defensible such that the current status of the work being reported is clear yet concise with regard to budget, schedule, safety, quality, changes / variances and client relations

Review invoices and track the billings of subcontractors, vendors and suppliers to assure that they adhere to the budgeted buyout schedule

Communicate and Coordinate with the Client to assure a good working relationship and that project information and details are appropriately and timely shared on the basis of “no surprises”

Communicate effectively with U.S. DoD and Local National clients and multi-cultural staff and subcontractors on a timely and effective basis

Manage the claims and change process including documented support to provide best possible chance of recovery

Manage the project site to keep client activities and project visitors from interfering with work progress

Effectively Interface with home office support, supply chain management, legal and contracts, sr. operations management and appropriate business sector management

Present a positive and enthusiastic attitude at all times
Skills / Qualifications
-
15+ years of experience managing construction, including at least 10 years as Project Manager for both Self-Perform and CM at Risk projects . Design / Build is a must. International experience specifically in Middle East region is a plus

Must have experience within past 5 years managing project for US Government, USACE, AFCEC, NAVFAC or other U.S. DoD construction experience

Engineering or Equivalent Construction Management Degree required. Requisite experience will be considered depending on client requirements

Course completion and certificate in Construction Quality Management for Contractors

Experience in vertical construction and horizontal construction including above and below ground utilities is a must
-
Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and leadership skills, especially related to managing international teams including construction crews, and international subcontracting firms

Must have a solid understanding of design-build including managing the development of plans and specifications including control of design to assure conformance with cost estimate / bid; subcontractor, equipment and material buy out; construction planning and execution and; building commissioning and project close out

Strong business / financial acumen with ability to review planned vs actual results for the purpose of recognizing actual / potential overruns and planning / implementing recovery actions

Familiarity with contract laws, change management and a demonstrated ability to keep proper documentation of changes to the project

Demonstrated experience with project turn around to regain lost time and reduce / prevent project losses

PM certifications a plus (PMP, PRINCE2, APM, PMI, CAPM)

Strong written and spoken communication skills required

Must be able to manage the project at all points including significant on site time that may require walking over rugged terrain, climbing ladders, conveyor / elevator transport, and be capable of wearing all required personnel protective equipment (PPE)

Must be US Citizen with ability to pass security background checks to gain Base access and applicants with a valid CAC or who are in the system eligible for issuance of a CAC are preferred
