World Vision is hiring a Senior Philanthropy Coordinator
01 The Job
As Sr Philanthropy Coordinator, you will support the department in achieving strategic goals and initiatives by partnering with the operations team and fundraisers focused on the Middle, High and Ultra High Net worth donor segments regarding staff management, budgeting, and projects. Work with and maintain highly confidential information. Communicate and coordinate directly with fundraisers, senior leaders, and high value partner organizations to develop and implement tactical and strategic donor plans and meeting logistics. Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.
1. Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, chapel, prayer, worship, devotions, and leadership of devotions); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role.
2. Initiate reporting to track and analyze regional team fundraising performance and monitor progress toward the achievement of the Capital Campaign Initiatives, as well as division, department, and regional team and/or program goals ranging from $1M to $1Billion.
a. Conduct research and manage highly confidential information.
3. Support fundraisers, principle gifts fundraisers, and managers in all phases of Moves Management working directly and communicating with major donors, including strategic donors with ultra-high capacity (+$1Million) and/or celebrity status.
4. Serve as a subject matter expert for the Philanthropy Department on cross-functional project teams and strategic initiative development. Lead independent projects on behalf of the department or division, and track deliverables.
5. Plan and facilitate donor and team events and meetings including contract negotiation, managing expense budgets, and delegation/assignment of staff. May require travel and onsite presence. Includes facilitating international subject matter expert visits and tours.
6. Provide budget oversight, monitoring and analyzing expense spending. Work with Finance and the Operations Manager to troubleshoot budget issues.
7. May hire, fire, train, counsel, mentor and/or supervise staff, and may recommend salary increases for those under direct supervision.
8. Understand and articulate World Vision’s models of transformational development, capital campaign principles, Donor Journey treatment model and Moves Management strategy.
9. Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as a member of a team.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
11. Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed.

04 You Bring
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (8 years) work experience. In addition to education or educational equivalent, work experience in fundraising or sales operations or related field; 5 years. Experience working directly with sales/fundraising representatives and utilizing various sales reporting tools (i.e. CRM).
Other preferred skills we are looking for:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel, Outlook Email, CRM Systems, Microsoft Dynamics specifically, Concur Expense System, self-booking travel systems, Adobe Pro Software, Sharepoint system, virtual meeting platform proficiency, basic video editing skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in Project Management approach, tools and techniques – capable of leading small teams through priority project work
- Ability to pull reports and provide business analysis from the data
- Experience driving change management
05 Salary Range & Benefits
The full range for this position is $59,271 – $90,026 annually. This applies to locations with a market similar to our U.S. HQ in the Greater Seattle area. A different range may apply based on your work location. Typical hiring range is $62,000 – $75,000 annually. Job offers within the range are based on relevant job qualifications and pay equity.
