The Job
World Vision seeks a Senior Business Analyst to contribute significantly to our Enterprise Data team. You’ll collaborate closely with business stakeholders to assess their needs for our Enterprise Data Warehouse, reporting, and analytics solutions. Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Keep Christ central in our individual and corporate lives. Attend and participate in the leadership of devotions, weekly Chapel services, and regular prayer.
Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. The incumbent will personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word, and sign.
Business & Technology Analysis:
· Utilize a structured requirements process (including gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to assess client needs.
· Develop, write, and effectively communicate business requirements and functional specifications for the implementation of business solutions.
· Analyze clients’ operations to identify strengths and weaknesses, as well as opportunities for improvement.
· Develop and maintain documentation related to test plans, application and business workflows, and business rules.
Training:
· Develop a comprehensive training plan to onboard new customers to WVUS’ Enterprise Data Warehouse.
· Design training materials for various training classes.
· Conduct training sessions for users of the data warehouse.
Technology Consulting Leadership:
· Lead by example in creating/updating business requirements documentation, functional specifications, and architecture design deliverables, such as roadmaps, technology lifecycle profiles, guidelines, and principles.
· Facilitate meetings to ensure full participation from all attendees.
· Maintain expertise in Data Warehousing functionality and its utilization at WVUS.
· Incorporate technology solutions into daily work and demonstrate proficiency in implemented technologies.
· Experience in project planning, including the ability to develop and continually update project plans, identify project dependencies, and coordinate milestones with resource managers.
Problem Solving:
· Identify and resolve issues promptly, escalating when necessary. Utilize innovative analytical techniques.
· Provide assistance and mentorship to team members in resolving complex issues.
· Manage the defect/issues list for large projects, including routing issues for retesting.
Communication/Consulting:
· Act as a liaison between the business, third-party vendors, and the IT technical team.
· Facilitate communication between business units and IT throughout all project phases, from initial requirements gathering to final implementation.
· Negotiate agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business units and IT.

· Proficiency in test design, methodology, and quality assurance practices, coupled with a commitment to continuous process improvement.

· Project management skills, analytical thinking, organizational proficiency, professionalism, and a systemic approach to problem-solving.
· Demonstrated capability to develop and lead comprehensive training programs, delivering engaging sessions one-on-one, on-demand, or in group settings, both virtually and in person.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience (8 years).
· Minimum of 5 years of relevant technical and business work experience.
· Proficiency in writing analytical queries in SQL.
· Understanding of data models and database structures.
· Strong leadership skills and in-depth knowledge of business operations and systems requirements/testing processes.
Additional Skills We Are Interested In:
· Strong proficiency in data warehousing concepts and experience with business intelligence tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
· Familiarity with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, or similar reporting and visualization tools.
· Experience utilizing Jira for efficient work management and collaboration within project teams.
· Demonstrated proficiency in writing and executing comprehensive test plans to ensure the quality and accuracy of data solutions.
· Proficiency with collaboration platforms such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, or similar tools, facilitating effective communication and document management within project teams.
· Knowledge of advanced data management concepts, including data profiling, metadata management, and reference data management, to ensure data integrity and consistency.
· Experience working in both waterfall and agile project management methodologies, with a flexible and adaptive approach to project delivery.
Salary Range & Benefits:
- WVUS Pay Grade Level: 226
- The full range for this position is $82,632.63 – $131,997.59
- The estimated hiring range is $90,000.00 – $108,000.00
- This range applies to locations with a market similar to our Federal Way headquarters office. A different range may apply based on your work location.
- Job offers within the range are based on relevant job qualifications and pay equity.
