The Reporting and Research Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of high-quality reporting products and assisting in the design and implementation of YCLE Activity research. This includes drafting and finalizing periodic weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress reporting; editing and finalizing Third Party Monitoring (TPM) reports; editing and finalizing context monitoring reporting products including monthly reports, deep dives and flash reports; drafting and finalizing YCLE communication material including success stories; and providing support to all other YCLE reporting products and deliverables. The Manager will work within reporting, research and analysis, and other assigned tasks and will report to the Chief of Party.
Responsibilities:
- Consolidate and analyze data on program implementation and indicators in order to facilitate the preparation of periodic reports, such as monthly and quarterly reports.
- Support the development of YCLE’s annual work plans by collecting inputs from technical teams and organizing inputs into a coherent and well-presented document.
- Support the YCLE technical team in the production and finalization of TPM site visit reports and TPM monthly reports.
- Analyze atmospheric data gathered from YCLE staff, partners, and local contacts to prepare flash reports as directed by the YCLE donor.
- Produce success stories and other communications products, in partnership with YCLE technical teams.
- Ensure the quality of all YCLE written deliverables through editing and proof-reading.
- Ensure compliance with USAID branding and marking guidelines for all YCLE written deliverables and products.
- Support the delivery of other reporting products, such as maps.
- Provide support/technical inputs to research methodology and data collection plans for YCLE-led evaluations, special studies, assessments, and TPM.
- Provide support/technical inputs to design of YCLE data collection instruments, including KII guides, survey questionnaires, observation checklists, and focus group discussion guides.
- Provide support to the Aden-based Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Specialist on scripting research tools into data collection software.
- Lead on quantitative data analysis efforts using SPSS or STATA software.
- Maintain an internal Geographic Information Systems (GIS) database to provide continuous and updated geographic visualization of activities.
- Support the drafting of evaluation, special study, assessment, and ad hoc reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in social sciences, economics, or international development preferred.
- Minimum seven years of experience in international development, humanitarian aid, or research required.
- Minimum four years of experience in reporting writing and data analysis required.
- Minimum three years of experience in monitoring and evaluation for international development or humanitarian/emergency response programming required.
- Experience with qualitative data analysis.
- Experience in research methodology design.
- Experience in TPM.
- Experience in the following sectors: education, health, governance peace and stability, WASH.
- Proficiency in data analysis software such as STATA, SPSS.
- Full professional written and spoken fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Arabic is desired.
