Your tasks
- Managing the acquisition process of health projects including the preparation of high-quality technical proposals and financial offers to a variety of German and international donors;
- Coordinate the implementation our projects with teams in our Health department to ensure: contracting according to our compliance management system, adherence to execution timelines, technical and administrative support, project monitoring, donor reporting and financial administration;
- Traveling for backstopping missions and on-site visits of GFA Health projects in Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia as well as going on fact-finding missions for our acquisition pipeline;
- Conducting short-term consultancies, including feasibility studies, for our clients;
- Establishing and maintaining networks and professional relationships with experts, partners and clients;
- Contributing to GFA’s knowledge and quality management, developing concepts, identification and development of new topics/approaches as well as writing publications;
- Representing GFA Health at conferences, symposia, and external meetings.
Your profile
- A post-graduate university degree in a relevant field, e.g. Public Health, International or Global Health, Epidemiology, One Health, Digital Health, Healthcare Management, Medicine or Nursing, or another field relevant to international development assistance in health;
- A minimum of three years’ experience in project management;
- At least three years’ experience in health sector development cooperation;
- Experience in consulting and/or advisory services is an asset;
- Familiarity with procurement and tendering procedures of funding agencies in the health sector is an asset;
- Excellent writing skills, preferably with experience in writing technical reports or project proposals;
- Proven ability to work in a team with other professionals in a multicultural context;
- Willingness to travel;
- Full proficiency in English and preferably French. Knowledge of German is an asset;
- Nationality of one of the EU-member countries or valid work permit for Germany;
- Advanced proficiency in the use of standard MS Office;
- Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills;
- Stress-resistant, pragmatic, flexible with improvisation skills but with a punctilious attitude towards your own work.
