Dr. Shalamon Duke received a doctorate degree from the University of Southern California in Educational Leadership, master’s degree from San Diego State University in Rehabilitation Counseling, and bachelor’s from Grambling State University in English. Dr. Duke also holds a certificate in Rehabilitation Engineering.
Dr. Shalamon Duke has been involved in education for over 15 years as a Dean, Vice President and Associate Vice Chancellor in the community colleges. His major functions and interest has surround disability, accessibility, student success, technology and retention. Additionally, his research has focused on the course taking patterns of students and how it may or may not lead towards successful outcomes, including the disparity of success amongst college going students based on socioeconomic environments.
