Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage the team (N-1)
· Inform N-1 of the departmental evolutions and communicate on required alignments
· Set and enforce goals in terms of quality of service & costs control
· Assess the performance of N-1
· Develop & maintain the competencies
· Enforce leave management policy
- Change Management
· Build and review regularly the department, setting up (staff, skills).
· Liaise with departmental representatives to maintain an update process and procedures book for the entire business and ensure the stake holders get to understand these processes and any changes.
· Drive change as recommended from the management on a day to day.
- Control Operations
· KPI development of the department and ensure that they are documented on the POWER BI dashboard
· Analyse key cause for KPI gaps and address next steps to the team for continuous improvements
· Responsible for the monthly reporting of departmental performance and activities
· Work closely with the logistics Manager to ensure ALL faulty devices are returned and a warranty claim logged.
· Follow through on Warranty management and ensure all devices reported as faulty are submitted by the 05th day of the new month to the supplier and replacements pursued.
· Work hand in hand with the Inventory Manager to perform a reconciliation of faulty items (As tracked on the online database) with the physical devices reported as well as with the Inventory Management System.
- Monitor quality of service and cost control for each department
· Responsible for the overall quality of service as defined by the following parameters
· All Sales queries are responded to in an agreeable period of time
· Any issues related to collections` strategy are very closely followed through and closed
· All clients whose devices have been received for repair have been worked on within the KPI definitions and this performance tracked and reported
Job Requirements
- Required Skills /Experience/ Qualifications
At least 5 years’ experience as a manager
Degree in a related field and from a recognized institution
Commercially astute
Pays attention to detail
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
Good use of email as an excellent communicator
Organisation and Leadership skills and abilities as per work flow and documentation
Problem solving skill
Technical, analytical skills and curiosity as per revolving trends
Work Tools and knowledge areas will include but aren’t limited to delivery using Unleashed Software, Power BI, Solaris Software, Quick Books and other professional software and hardware as per required.
