The Nutrition Expert will support TPM across multiple BHA-funded activities in Mozambique. The Expert will work closely with MSI’s Third-Party Monitoring (TPM) team and the TPM Lead to provide regular support and guidance in nutrition-related areas of TPM design, tool development, training, data collection, data analysis, data management, research and reporting responsibilities for MozMEL. The Expert will also have additional tasks as agreed upon with the MozMEL Chief of Party (COP).
Responsibilities:
- Provide surge support to the Nutrition TPM teams, to include inputs into reporting with summary statistics, brief description write-ups, and identification of recommendations for USAID using existing TPM templates and monitoring data.
- Contribute to development of data collection instruments in consultation with the MozMEL team including the data collection team.
- Join the data collection efforts including conducting interviews, direct observations, and document reviews.
- Support TPM report development, especially sections related to their subject matter expertise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Minimum five years of experience in nutrition is required.
- Minimum two years of experience working on nutrition interventions in Cabo Delgado is required.
- Experience conducting trainings and interviews in addition to collecting data is required.
- Experience working on USAID or other international donor-funded nutrition activities is required.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal skills is required.
- Oral and written fluency in Portuguese is required. Working knowledge of English and oral fluency in some of the Cabo Delgado local languages is preferred.
