Banyan Global is recruiting a business capacity-building and commercial outreach specialist to implement private sector health activities for the USAID-funded SHOPS (Sustaining Health Outcomes in the Private Sector) Plus Project in Madagascar. The position will be a full-time (or nearly full-time) consultant.
SHOPS Plus is USAID’s flagship initiative in private sector health. It works to involve nongovernmental organizations and for-profit entities to address the many health needs of people in developing countries. SHOPS Plus focuses on increasing availability, improving quality, and expanding coverage of essential health products and services in family planning and reproductive health, maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS, and other areas through the private sector.
Banyan Global, a development consulting firm, is responsible for the provider access to finance component of the SHOPS Plus Project, helping private health providers improve their business management skills and access credit to be able to invest in and expand their health practices. This position will focus on providing assistance to the SHOPS Plus Access to Finance team in organizing and conducting business and financial management trainings and coachings to the private health sector in Madagascar, and on monitoring the outcomes of these activities.
