Emergency Response Manager – Gaza Response

About the role:
The Emergency Response Manager will focus on coordinating and leading MAG’s Gaza response. The key priorities of this post are registration, liaison and communication with relevant local authorities and partner organisations, and to aid in the development of effective emergency response strategies. You will be responsible for keeping up to date on the rapidly evolving contextual challenges, providing management information to regional leadership and assisting in resource mobilization and deployment of an assessment team.
About you:
You will have demonstrable experience in leading and conducting rapid assessments of emergency situations, preferably in diverse and challenging environments. Understanding and proven experience in complex crisis management in the Middle East region is essential. You must be able to demonstrate previous experience in developing emergency response reports, data collection and liaison with local authorities, partner organisations, UN Agencies, and communities.
You will have excellent project management, contextual analysis, data interpretation and report writing skills. Stakeholder management and effective communication skills are also essential. Experience in humanitarian mine action and/or knowledge of Arabic is desirable.

We expect this post to be ‘remote’ and home-based from a suitable country, based on the needs of the role. However, MAG would consider employment on an ‘international’ basis, based in Amman, Jordan. Should the individual be based in a country in which MAG is registered terms and conditions may differ based on that country.
