The World Bank Treasury manages the World Bank’s finances to enable all operations and lending, acts as a trusted advisor to our member countries to support financial stability and resilience and leads financial innovation to implement the Maximizing Finance for Development agenda. Treasury three departments and one VPU-wide risk and controls team.
The Asset Management & Advisory (TREAA) Department provides capacity-building services to public sector asset managers, including central banks, international financial institutions, public pension funds, and sovereign wealth funds. TRE is the liquidity and asset manager for external clients with $35 billion AUM. TRE also supports nearly 30 technical workshops and thought leadership conferences each year, in addition to publishing original, leading publications on asset management.
Within TREAA, The Treasury Asset Management (TREAM) unit is responsible for managing high-grade fixed income and money market portfolios for the World Bank Group donor partners and external clients.
Duties and Accountabilities:
• Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis incorporating market information and key economic trends into a dynamic asset allocation framework, assessing implications for various asset classes and strategies, and making tactical and strategic investment recommendations consistent with these views.
1. Advanced degree in finance, mathematics, econometrics, statistics or engineering and at least 8 years relevant work experience in quantitative finance, investments, and/or asset allocation or a relevant combination of education and experience.
