The IFC is seeking an ETC for its Western Europe Department (CWE), based in London, UK, to support CWE’s mission.
Towards furthering IFC’s development agenda, the Special Representative of CWE, based in Paris, is responsible for our relationship with the governments, partner development finance institutions (DFI), and the corporate and financial sector in 27 European countries for investments into emerging markets, as well as with the European Union.
The ETC supports CWE, and in particular, the Country Manager for the sub-region consisting of Israel, Italy, Spain and Sweden, based in London, where (s)he reports into.
Responsibilities The ETC will be assigned a variety of tasks related to country management, business development, relationship management with key clients and partners, and coordination of relationships with IFC stakeholders, including shareholders, development partner agencies, DFIs, and private sector players.
This role requires interaction with various external parties in Western Europe as well as with other departments at IFC’s headquarters in Washington DC and across the globe. It offers exposure to the interplay of public and private sector parties in the global development finance arena.
Duties and Accountabilities:
• Assist the Country Manager in (a) developing/updating, implementing, and reporting on country strategies; (b) monitoring of and delivering on KPIs; (c) relationship management with governments, DFIs, corporate clients, and other stakeholders and organizations; and (iv) IFC’s business development efforts in the sub-region and for Financial Institutions Group across CWE.
• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree with a specialization in International Development/Affairs/Politics/Relations, Finance, Economics or Business Administration.
