Position Summary:
The Compliance Manager will be responsible for supporting the operations of the Compliance Department, including planning and coordinating departmental initiatives, to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and industry best practices. The Compliance Manager will use independent judgment in the performance of their duties and be capable of carrying out work with little guidance or supervision. The Manager will also use attention to detail and efficient execution/prioritization of deliverables and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive compliance data. This position will report to MSI’s Director of Compliance. The preferred location for this role is in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area.
Responsibilities:
- Work in close coordination with the Director of Compliance to perform periodic internal reviews and investigations of compliance issues to ensure that procedures are followed.
- Maintain the Compliance database, including trackers, files, and reference documentation.
- Update and deliver training on Compliance issues, policies, and procedures.
- Serve as a confidential point of contact for employees to seek clarification on compliance issues or report irregularities.
- Review documentation, such as procurement records, to ensure there are no violations of standards or regulations.
- Monitor the implementation of company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business administration, or related field of studies required.
- Professional certification in compliance, contracts, auditing, or finance would be a plus.
- Minimum five years of progressive work experience in contracts, finance/accounting, or compliance required, with exposure to contracts, operations, finance/accounting, or compliance management for USAID or other international development agencies.
- Experience in USAID contracting and grants and other USG international regulations.
- Knowledge of project management procedures for planning and processing international development projects, and for establishing specifications, monitoring and management of the development projects.
- Knowledge of USG procurement regulations and of the FAR/AIDAR/ADS.
- Ability to travel internationally as needed.
- Strong written and spoken communications skills in English required. Proficiency in a second language, such as Spanish or French, would be a plus.

Pay Transparency Statement:
We are committed to taking a thoughtful, compliant and equitable approach to employment compensation. We commit to providing a holistic comprehensive salary analysis, including reviews of individual skill sets and compensable factors related to qualifications, business needs, internal compensation data, and industry and labor market surveys. The anticipated pay range for this position is $83,000 to $110,000 USD.
