Community Specialist/Manager, UNICEF Kid Power
UNICEF Kid Power (Kid Power) is a program of USF, and is made possible through the generous support of Presenting Sponsors Star Wars: Force for Change and Target, as well as local supporters, parents and fans. Kid Power aims to inspire a new generation of active and healthy global citizens, and consists of a tech-enabled school program for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade classrooms, and a consumer product and App that is truly defining a new Wearable-for-Good® category.
Reporting to the Deputy Director, UNICEF Kid Power, the Social Media and Community Growth Specialist will take full ownership of Kid Power’s social platforms and its results. This critical role will drive new strategic and tactical efforts in community engagement, social media and marketing in order to generate marketing qualified leads and help bolster UNICEF’s relevance in the U.S.
The Kid Power program is being developed as an internal startup, with ambitious goals for growth, clearly defined performance targets for team members, and an agile and iterative approach to execution. We are looking for a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who can thrive in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, comfortable with ambiguity, adaptable to change, and be able to work independently on a day to day basis.
Employment for this position is dependent upon the continued success of the Kid Power program.
Key Responsibilities/Outcomes (include but are not limited to):
- Enable double digit growth of UKP social platforms’ reach and engagement month-over-month
- Create, measure and report on posts for UKP social media platforms and UKP website.
- Execute plans to drive traffic to UKP site from our networks, interfacing with bloggers and influencers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Five years’ experience with three years of experience managing and growing social media platforms, especially Facebook, Twitter, Instagram required
- Demonstrable experience with executing and owning social platforms ad’ campaigns (organic and paid)
- Proven track record of achieving measurable results
- Story-teller with proven blog and social media writing experience
- Excellent proofreading skills
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes some weekend and evening commitments, as well as business-related travel

Preferred qualifications and experiences:
- Interest in mobile/Web 2.0/IoT/Wearable products and experiences
- Trained in HubSpot (or Marketo)
- Business-to-Consumer (B2C) experience
- Photoshop and/or InDesign experience
- Comfortable in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
- Proficiency with Google Docs
