World Vision is hiring an Administrative Assistant to support the Corporate Services Division.
01 At a Glance
Role: Administrative Assistant I (Limited Term, 12-month term only)
Location: On-site from Federal Way, WA.
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific, with a 15-minute morning break, 60-minute lunch break, and 15-minute afternoon break
Reports to: Corporate Services Manager
Education and Experience: Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of related work experience – or – Bachelor’s degree in related field, with related experience preferred. Experience using with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Teams) is preferred.
Salary Range: The hourly rate is expected be between $19.00 – $21.25/hour, dependent on the individual’s experience and qualifications. Information about our comprehensive work benefits can be found in Section 07.
02 The Job:
As an Administrative Assistant I, you will primarily serve the Service Desk by providing coordination, tracking, and documentation of the tasks necessary to keep the building operations of World Vision running in an orderly and efficient manner. You will provide recurring coverage for the front lobby and shipping area as necessary. In these functions, you will perform a wide range and variety of administrative duties guided through established procedures. You will need to be able to work independently, be self-motivated, and accept guidance and feedback. You will carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies while personifying the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.
- Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, devotions, chapel, prayer, worship); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role.
- Perform diverse administrative duties that may include confidential information.
- Coordinate meetings, maintain calendars, and make travel arrangements as needed.
- Draft letters, reports, and memos, including responding to routine mail using appropriate content and format. Compile, format, produce, sort, and/or distribute mail/computer reports as required in an accurate and timely way.
- Perform research as needed, utilizing databases or the Internet.
- Perform special projects and/or monitor project schedules as required.
- Review and proofread documents, ensuring correct spelling, grammar, syntax and content.
- Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as part of a team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed.

06 Salary Range & Benefits Your compensation and benefits are important to you so they’re important to us. The full salary range is $16.00 – $23.00/hour. This applies to locations with a market similar to our U.S. HQ in the Greater Seattle area. Typical hiring range is $19.00 – $21.25/hour. 08 What happens next? Short-listed candidates will be contacted by a member of our recruiting staff to participate in a phone interview. Moving deeper into our selection process, you can expect to participate in an on-site 1:1 interview with the hiring manager, then end with an on-site final panel interview.
