GIZ International Services is preparing to participate in the tender for the EU-funded project “Long term technical assistance to support the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) implementation in Seychelles”.
The scope of the project is to provide technical assistance to the Trade Department of the Ministry of Finance, Trade, Investment and Economic Planning to support the implementation of the Economic Partnership Agreement with the European Union.
As Team Leader (m/f), you will be responsible for the overall implementation of the contract, including coordination of the long-term Technical Assistance and pool of short-term experts.
At least Masters’ degree level in economics, trade, development, public policy or related fields. Academic specialisation in private sector development and/or export promotion preferred.
Proven command of English. Good knowledge of French is an advantage.
At least 10 years of professional experience.
At least 5 years’ experience of leading trade, export promotion or value chain development related technical assistance projects in developing countries.
Strong knowledge of the Economic Partnership Agreements between the EU and the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries.
Experience in providing technical assistance/capacity development services to national ministries and regional governments in developing countries. Experience in Small Island Developing States would be highly desired.
Experience in working with national trade ministries in ACP countries is preferred.
Strong project management skills, ideally with EU-funded projects.
