Banyan Global is seeking a qualified full-time Senior Women’s Economic Empowerment Specialist to lead a three-person team to support a learning agenda for the Incentive Fund created under the U.S. Government Women’s Global Development and Prosperity (W-GDP) Initiative. The purpose of the learning agenda is to institutionalize women’s economic empowerment to achieve stronger development results (and bottom line results for the private sector) across the United States Government, international and local businesses and nonprofits, other bilateral donors, and multilateral organizations. This a senior-level position based in Washington, D.C.

Banyan Global leads a wide range of flagship gender research and implementation activities for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), including under the USAID Gender Integration Technical Assistance (GITA) II Task Order. The GITA II Task Order makes global, on-demand, rapid-response, short-term technical assistance (STTA) on gender integration to USAID Missions and Bureaus available across multiple sectors and in crisis and non-crisis settings. Under GITA II, Banyan Global is recruiting a Senior Women’s Economic Empowerment Specialist to support USAID’s learning agenda for the W-GDP Fund under the W-GDP Initiative. The Specialist will advance the W-GDP Fund’s learning agenda, which includes convening a W-GDP Fund Community of Practice (CoP), whose members are USAID Missions and Operating Units, as well as the private sector and implementing partners involved with the Fund. The purpose of the learning agenda is to support evidence-based approaches to women’s economic empowerment and equality (WE3).
