What you’ll do: Senior Program Manager – Humanitarian Operations (SPM-HO) will be a key member of the Humanitarian Assistance (HA) team and be responsible for managing business functions of the emergency operations across the organization. as well as participating in the development and execution of the Humanitarian Strategy for the organization. During humanitarian crises, the SPM-HO will play the role of a deployable team member and will manage the surge, launch, and scale up of humanitarian responses in both countries of Corus’s presence as well as in new geographies. S/he will manage budget oversight for the Humanitarian Assistance team and in close collaboration across the HA team will particIpate in the preparation of forecasts, maintain up to date balances and advise the HA team leadership on the allocations, commitments and outstanding balances to achieve the department goals.

- Manage improved business functions and programmatic and administrative support to country teams and the regions
The employee will be required to deploy at short notice (given the nature of the humanitarian crises) and should be available and comfortable travelling to fragile, austere and conflict zones.
The employee shall maintain all relevant and required vaccination up to date and ensure proper clearance as required by the destination before, during and after the deployment (as needed).
HEAT training will be required as part of the minimum deployment standards, especially for Level 4 State Department defined countries and as further required by Corus.
Location: Remote (manageable time difference), Washington DC / Baltimore – preferred.
About The Ideal Candidate: Experienced in operating within fluid humanitarian and high-pressure contexts; Practical yet knowledgeable of the applicable standards and best practices in humanitarian field of action; Strong knowledge of program management, program quality and applicable standards and best practices; strong knowledge of BHA rules and regulations, including those of the M&E.
- Bachelor’s degree in social studies, humanitarian studies, public administration or related degree
- Demonstrated (at least 7 years) of professional experience
- Demonstrated (at least 3 years) experience in field level project management
- Demonstrated (at least 3 years) experience in budget management
- Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the humanitarian operations, architecture and coordination mechanisms
- Demonstrated experience of field humanitarian operations
