Provides complex analyses, reports, and recommendations to senior financial leaders in either Finance or ROLI Finance based upon the interpretation of historical records, trends, and operational/financial trends.
Provides advanced analytical reports and recommendations based upon complex business transactions. Accountable for the development, analysis, and creation of standard and ad-hoc financial reports based upon data of varying degrees of complexity from within and outside of the ABA. Creates and recommends operational changes/modifications of business practices based upon historical and predictive data. Creates assessments of revenue generation, cash flow needs, budget performance against plan, and proposes corrective actions where necessary. Assists with the development and maintenance of the Association’s strategic financial models. May assist with the development and deployment of pricing modeling for ABA products and services. May lead less experienced Financial Analyst and/or Accountants on major projects and initiatives. Ensure budgetary compliance records and assists with creating supporting materials for Measurement and Effectiveness, Internal Audit, USAID, or other major operating divisions within the Association. Effectively optimizes reporting capabilities through financial systems enhancements and the implementation of best practices of GAAP and the ABA financial policy requirements. May assist with the development and analysis of all capital budgeting requests. Depending upon departmental responsibilities, may review grant budgets and submit proposals to the donors. Performs other related duties as required.
Basic Qualifications & Interests (BQIs) Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, Economics, and/or Business Administration. At least five years’ experience working in a financial analysis capacity which must have included responsibility for budgeting, report creation, financial analysis, and/or accounting. At least three years’ experience working with an ERP of financial reporting systems. Possession of an intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Word
Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs) Possession of a Master’s degree from an accredited college of university. Credentialed as a Certified Public Accountant.
As a normal course of business, this job will typically require travel of less than 5% of the time.
