The Senior Associate provides substantive administrative support to the International Programs Division. This position will be based in one of our two mid-Atlantic offices in Washington, DC or Baltimore, MD. Corus International is currently under work-from-home status, with no date for reopening offices. This position will be expected to work from home until such time as Corus offices reopen.
Responsibilities:
Departmental Coordination
- Develop systems and processes to ensure information flow within International Program Division and between Divisions of the Department.
- Event planning for the Division; schedule and coordinate meetings and retreats
- Develop and circulate meeting minutes and other documents related to good management practice and transparent communication.
- Support the planning, execution, documentation, and coordination of International Programs Division strategic processes.
- Support the International Programs Division budgeting process with creation and maintenance of budget formats/pivot tables and running analyses of budgets and spending, as necessary.
- Coordinate production of International Programs Division reports for internal and external use.
Support to the VP, International Programs
- Maintain meeting schedules and appointments as requested.
- Support travel logistics for VP and Senior Management Team, ensuring travel compliance with donor requirements.
- Support coding and processing in Anybill and Suntrust for reimbursement processing.
- Manage procurement processes for consultants and non-HR procurement
- Other administration tasks as requested
Cross-Office Coordination
- Function as International Program Division liaison with HR on personnel actions as requested
- Coordinate with the Business Development Team and provide support to business development as requested;
- Liaise with International Finance Team on issues related to program management as requested;
- Liaise with Executive team on coordination and logistic functions as needed.
- Function as Program Team liaison with External Relations and Engagement Team on activities related to communications and engagement.
Qualifications:
- Deep commitment to Corus International’s core values; ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or a minimum of 3 years of equivalent experience.
- Effective written and verbal communications skills in English.
- Demonstrated experience in office administration, including travel and event planning. Knowledge of US Government rules and regulations desired.
- Ability to be accurate and attentive to detail in task-tracking and monitoring, writing, editing, typing, and filing.
- Experience with an international development or relief organization is highly desirable.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and carry out multiple tasks efficiently under pressure and with little supervision; ability and willingness to accept supervision.
- Highly proficient in using Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, and web browser software.
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to be both a team leader and a team player and to work with people of varied backgrounds.
- Ability to maintain courteousness, responsiveness, humor, and service-oriented attitude in the face of demanding short-fuse situations is essential.
