Project Manager – Emergency Management Programs
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Emergency Preparedness team in the National Capital Region. This position is responsible for providing Project management and subject matter expertise for client programs.
This will be performed remote supporting the program headquartered in the NCR.
What you will do:
Project Management
-
Manage the ICF project(s)
-
Manage subcontractors
-
Review and approve monthly invoices
-
Develop and coordinate review of monthly progress reports
-
Maintain, update, and execute an ongoing work plan
-
Archive project documentation
Project-specific
-
Provide expert guidance on emergency management policy development, training, and exercises.
-
Develop and deliver trainings
-
Develop and execute exercises
-
Evaluate exercises and develop corrective action plans and improvement plans
-
Evaluate program, risk, and other data to assist in development of exercise priorities
-
Encourage and support the use of technology in exercise development and delivery
What you will need:
-
Masters in Emergency Management or related field or Bachelor’s with 5 additional years of relevant emergency preparedness and operations experience
-
5+ years project management experience
-
5+ years of experience in developing, executing, and evaluating exercises
-
Experience implementing exercise corrective actions and training improvement programs.
-
5+ years of experience working collaboratively with federal, State, or local emergency management agencies
What would be good to have:

Practical emergency preparedness and response experience

Experience using modeling, simulation, virtual reality, and other technologies to enhance and augment exercises

Able to coordinate a large number of projects simultaneously under pressure with very tight deadlines

Knowledge of federal and state emergency management programs

Ability to translate complex concepts into tangible and functional products

Experience using technology to support exercises

Experience developing risk based and data driven exercise strategies

Team and consensus building skills

Dynamic facilitation skills

History of interfacing with senior and elected officials

HSEEP certification

Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities

Proficient in MS Office Suite
