The Project Director will provide vision, leadership and direction to ensure the strategic, programmatic, technical, and financial integrity for the upcoming USAID MOMENTUM (Moving Integrated, Quality Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health Services, Voluntary Family Planning and Reproductive Health Care to Scale) APS Round 3A “Expanding Access to Safe Surgery for Family Planning and the Reduction of Maternal and Neonatal Mortality and Morbidity”. MOMENTUM Round 3A seeks to improve access to and quality of voluntary, informed, consented and safe surgical care within maternal health and family planning programs. The $40 million project will operate over a five-year period.
The Project Director will have the overall responsibility for leadership and management and reporting of global and country-level project activities. S/he will be responsible for making key decisions and solving problems in short timeframes while ensuring operational and project quality and integrity. S/he will manage long- and short-term technical expertise across all result areas, and ensure the project meets the stated goals and reporting requirements, and will serve as the project’s main point of contact with USAID on routine and strategic matters. S/he will also ensure effective organizational management and communication with the host country government at all levels, and international partners and agencies.
