Hiring range: $41,600 – $45,440
The Program Associate assists in the design and development of programs, projects and activities of the entity. He/She is responsible for the implementation of programs and projects under the supervision of the program director or manager. The work will include a strong focus on website and technological program management. The Program Associate is responsible for the production and dissemination of the Project’s e-newsletter quarterly, monitoring and update of the Project’s website, maintenance of the Project’s social media presence, and additional administrative tasks in support of the Project. The associate serves as the primary drafter, designer, and editor of the Project’s quarterly newsletter. Additionally the Program Associate will handle processing of contracts, reimbursements, and travel arrangements as needed for the Project. Finally, the Program Associate will assist with budgeting and case management within our databases. When hiring for the staff assistant position, the Chief Counsel seeks individuals who not only are able to perform the important technological work of the Project but who also are experienced in the issues of the Project and who are proficient in research, writing, editing, and financial management.
Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university (or equivalent experience)
Experience, preferably in an association or non-profit setting. Analytical problem solving ability, self-direction, project experience, research and writing skills, and meeting planning experience. Fundraising or grant application experience is a plus. Candidates with Russian or Spanish language skills are encouraged to apply.
