Hiring Salary: $38,000-$41,840
General Purpose of Job
Provides administrative and programmatic support for the Section’s Business Development unit, the Section’s public support programs (Good Works) and the Section’s Judicial Intern Opportunity Program (JIOP). This position reports directly to the Section’s Business Development Manager, but will also be accountable for duties delegated by the Section’s JIOP Program Director. Responsibilities include the full range of administrative and clerical functions.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with meeting sponsor and corporate sponsor programs. Support tracking, solicitation and cultivation of sponsors, including but not limited to: drafting and sending outreach messages and acknowledgment letters, invoicing, preparing analysis reports and prospect lists and working with the Section’s meetings and marketing teams to coordinate sponsor benefits, recognition and registrations.
Judicial Opportunity Program and Good Works:
Manage fundraising data and maintain student and participant databases. Assist leaders with JIOP and Good Works program solicitation and marketing materials by supplying data, letters and other tools in order to raise program funds in a timely manner.
Develop JIOP sponsor and Good Works donor recognition lists and assist in maintaining sponsor relations. Report on fundraising activity throughout the program year. Provide leaders with donor reports, donor history and contact information.
Prepare, distribute and collect JIOP student award agreements and tax/employment documents (as approved by legal and HR), submit reports to HR & process student payments in a timely manner.
Coordinate with accounts payable and other financial departments to track student approvals and payments.
Process all JIOP student applications and develop and serve as point person for all program screening interviews. Maintain the volunteer database and recruit members and leaders as necessary to assist with interviews.
Oversee all other JIOP program communication, correspondence and announcements through the maintenance of distribution lists, listservs, etc.
Coordinate and schedule all JIOP program events including orientations and welcome receptions. Develop invitation lists, invitations, keep RSVP records and attendance charts.
Assist JIOP Program Director in the preparation and updating of the budget. Provide data to help track fundraising and expenses to meet budget expectations.
Other administrative duties and projects as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications
Preferred applicants will have a four-year undergraduate degree, but an AA with suitable work experience is acceptable. Candidate must be able to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines, work autonomously while supporting team objectives, and organize and communicate information effectively. Candidate must be comfortable using multiple software platforms, have database management experience and be proficient in Microsoft suite. He or she must also exhibit strong writing ability, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and have a proven commitment to high-quality performance in a professional setting.
Associates degree (A.A.), Bachelor’s degree Preferred.
