Many things change people’s lives in developing countries. Right now, innovation and technology are right up there. We’re managing DFID’s Frontier Technology Livestreaming, probably the world’s single donor programme piloting only the most cutting-edge technologies to attack pressing development challenges.
There’s so much change going on in supporting private sector development (PSD) in developing countries – and that’s what we’re part of. But to capitalise on all the opportunities we need the right staff to grow. We urgently need someone with skills and/or deep interest in tech for development who love what they do and what they can offer. People who want to learn by doing and build on their existing skill set.
So if you want to work hard and flexibly, mixing working on a growing, fascinating global project and prospecting for new opportunities, winning and working on your own projects in a highly supportive environment for a business that’s grown fast in the last few years and wants to go on doing so, get in touch. We’re informal but we never stint on quality and we take doing things the right way very seriously.
You can see the detail of who we’re looking in the full job description. Right now we’re seeking an experienced Consultant. You’ll need the right technical skills – but just as important is an enquiring mind and a determined attitude. Our most recent recruit was deployed overseas within weeks, working on smart vending machines for contraception, enabling mini-grid and electric vehicle business models.
