About the role
You will support BEST and the DepED Planning Service in the delivery of results in the area of planning and budgeting as indicated in the program Theory of Change. You will provide technical advice and support for development and enhancements of planning and budgeting framework and processes at DepEd.
You will report to the BEST Policy, Planning and M&E Sub-Component Manager under the direction of the Component Lead for Governance, Knowledge and Innovation. You will work in close collaboration with DepEd’s Planning Service Director, the Planning Service’s Planning and Programming Division (PPD-PS) also assisting in the development of linkages with other departmental implementing units with planning and budgeting responsibilities.

About the program
The Basic Education Sector Transformation (BEST) Program is a partnership between the Governments of the Philippines and Australia, which aims to contribute to improving the quality of teachers, curriculum and assessment, learning materials and education facilities and to build the capacity of the Department of Education (DepED) to continuously enrich quality, effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery.
This is a locally engaged position and a competitive salary package will be offered to the preferred candidate in line with local labour laws. The position is open to Filipino nationals and permanent residents with authority to live and work in the Philippines.
