To provide paralegal support for the ABAs Immigration Projects and Attorneys in preparing for and conducting Presentations at courts and detention center, completing detainee intakes following presentations, conducting pro se workshops and individuals orientations, and coordinating referrals of cases to pro bono attorneys. The paralegal will also be responsible for data entry and compilation of data for the funder.
Bachelors Degree from four-year College or University.
The Immigration Projects Paralegal should have a college degree and relevant experience in immigration issues as well as client interviewing and cross-cultural communication skills. Must exhibit excellent organization and interpersonal skills as well as computer fluency and experience working with a database. Strong writing skills in both English and Spanish and fluency in Spanish are preferred. Some knowledge of immigration laws is preferred. College degree or appropriate paralegal certification.
