Under the direction of the IFES-Sri Lanka Country Director, the National Gender & Training Advisor’s duties and responsibilities will include:
Serve as lead facilitator for IFES’ trainings, which could include but are not limited to women’s leadership trainings and gender trainings for civil society partners;
Contribute to design of curriculum;
Provide a review of IFES products as needed to ensure that products both reflect international principles of women’s political rights and are contextualized to the local Sri Lankan context. These could include reports on gender related electoral reforms, implementation of the women’s quota, and other gender-related developments in the electoral context;
Develop resources and briefs related to the electoral and gender context in Sri Lanka, as requested by the Country Director.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in programming and analysis related to women in elections, gender and governance.
Experience with designing and leading trainings on gender and elections, women’s leadership and gender sensitive electoral operations-related topics.
