Job Title: Media Monitoring Officer (Part Time)
Reporting To: Project Manager (MENA)
LoE: 50% LoE
Duration: 3 months, with possible 6 month extension
Salary: 150$ per day (each day is 8 working hours)

Monitoring and coding content from a selected group of media outlets (primarily online radio, video and television).
Daily monitoring and coding of content of a selected sample of Arabic and ideally Kurdish media outlets (primarily online radio, video and television), according to a set methodology.
Timely submission of monitoring sheets and notes on a weekly basis.
Participation in weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings with the media monitoring team (remote or in-person).
Assisting in media content (quality and professionalism) assessment based on aggregated data of monitored samples.
Supporting manager and supervisor with overall organization and coordination tasks, if needed
Other research upon request.
Essential skills and experience:
Arabic and/or Kurdish Speaker is a must (Preferably native speaker).
Spoken and written fluency in English
Excellent research and analytical skills
Background in journalism or media, specifically Arabic media.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Desirable knowledge and experience:
- Understanding of and interest in political context of the Middle East
Interest in Media and the international NGO/development sector
