There is no typical day working for the Internal Communication and Engagement (ICE) team, one day you can be interviewing on Skype a new colleague in Niger, the next day you could be marching to support our latest UK campaign. Our team works across the organisation to improve and support collaboration and engagement of our colleagues based in the UK and in 14 different countries around the world. We use SharePoint/Office 365 as the platform for our intranet, CAFODconnect, and our collaborative sites.
You will be responsible to oversee the quality of the content in our channels (intranet, newsletter, magazine, Yammer, briefings, etc.) and to train staff to feel confident to use them. You will ensure an appropriate mix of activities to enable our colleagues to communicate and collaborate, playing an important role in driving the culture and ethos of CAFOD. You will work with colleagues from all kinds of backgrounds, and different areas of the organisation.
Every day involves a diverse range of activities. You will have the ability to adapt to different communication styles, the experience of working with different stakeholders and confidence in adapting to new situations, presenting creative solutions using the resources we have.
You will have experience or knowledge of working with web content management systems, as well as excellent inter-personal and communication skills. A good understanding of the use of web tools and working with international audiences would also be an advantage.
