Founded in 1933, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a leading non-sectarian, voluntary organization providing relief, protection, and resettlement services for refugees and victims of oppression or violent conflict.
The Silver Spring IRC office serves approximately 600 refugees and asylees annually providing them a fresh start and opportunities to use their greatest resources—their motivation, their skills and their experiences—to become independent and self-sufficient new Americans. IRC’s Immigration Department in Silver Spring, Maryland, provides high quality, low-cost immigration services, including filing applications for adjustment of status, employment authorization, naturalization, and family reunification for refugees, asylees, and other immigrants.
The Immigration Caseworker will focus on citizenship services for refugees, asylees, and immigrants in the Suburban Washington area. This position will be responsible for conducting outreach for citizenship, providing high quality naturalization application preparation services, and providing administrative and program support. This non-exempt position will report to the Immigration Services Coordinator.
