Our Manchester Transport Planning office is offering an aspiring Graduate Transport Planner the opportunity to join our well established, busy team based in the heart of Media City. The team is engaged in all aspects of traffic and transportation planning including transport assessments for new developments, masterplanning, urban regeneration projects and travel plans.
You will assist in the preparation of Transport Assessments and Travel Plans and in particular will focus on the preparation of junction capacity analysis, figures for reports, analysis of data and drawings of transport improvements including junction designs. You will work as part of a small team and will be required to undertake a variety of tasks that are required in order that report delivery deadlines are met.
You will have the opportunity to become involved in a wide variety of exciting development projects and will be a critical part of a very busy commercially focussed team which has an expanding workload. As part of your role you will be required to liaise with other professionals including Architects and Town Planners and hence must have good interpersonal and communication skills.

You must be degree qualified ideally undergraduate or postgraduate Transport Planning, Engineering, Town Planning, Geography or other numerate degrees. You must have the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and clients both written and spoken. You should have strong numeracy, analytical and report writing skills with an attention to detail, as you will be expected to write reports. You must be fully adaptable as you will be expected to have the capability to work to deadlines within teams and autonomously when required. You must have familiarity with the Planning Regulatory framework, and knowledge of planning and transport policy and relevant design standards and guidance.
