We are currently looking for a Finance and Awards Lead to support our Search and Rescue response in the Mediterranean sea, and be based in our London office. You will be available to start from mid-March 2017 for a fixed term contract of 9.5 months.
In this role you’ll work closely with the response team and provide strategic finance support; a high standard of financial accounting, cost recovery and budgeting, whilst ensuring internal controls and emergency cash flow availability.
In order to be successful you’ll be a qualified accountant with experience of working within Finance and Awards in an NGO, knowledge of donor requirements and experience of managing grants from the major emergency donors (including budgeting, eligibility issues, compliance management and reporting), and a proven track record of active contribution to a senior management team. Experience in first phase responses, in an international emergency environment or fragile state, and an understanding of Save the Children’s FMS (Agresso) and AMS is highly desirable.
On a personal level you’ll have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, a high degree of cultural awareness.
