Position: Field Finance Director
Location: Global, depending upon candidate right to work in one of RI’s office locations, with regular travel to the field (up to 30%)

Position in Brief
The Field Finance Director is responsible for setting standards for field finance activities and for monitoring compliance with RI and donor policies and procedures at the regional and country office level. This is done by working with both the Regional Finance Managers and through them the country office finance personnel.
Including developing processes for monitoring country office internal controls (in conjunction with the Regional Finance managers), helping ensure the accuracy and timeliness of reporting to donors, helping ensure that collections from donors are prioritized, and working with GSO finance to help ensure that the entire system of accounting and reporting from GSO down to the country office level is efficient and effective.
In addition, this position has broad responsibility to assist the CFO in the development of strategy and process for field finance functions and acting as a liaison between the Regional Finance managers and the CFO/GSO finance departments. Such strategic discussions may include the development and implementation of a Shared Services strategy to centralize certain country level accounting and finance functions, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of country level accounting and processes by helping develop or deploy new systems or enhancements to existing systems. This position will be a key liaison between Regional Finance Managers, and through them, country offices and the Relief International Treasurer to help ensure optimum utilization of Relief International’s working capital.
