Hiring range: $36,550 – $40,420
Performs light copy editing, proofreading, and clerical functions in support of the production/publication of materials in various media.
Proofreads texts, manuscripts, articles, and other materials.
Conducts light copyediting when appropriate.
Distributes and maintains editorial calendars and issues reminders to authors and contributions.
Collects and tracks all approved author agreements.
Manages manuscripts and corrects proofs.
May measure galleys for page layouts, crop photographs, and mark type for printer.
Provides administrative support, creates reports, meeting materials, and the recording of minutes for the Editorial Board.
Performs other related duties as required.
Basic Qualifications & Interests (BQIs)
Possession of a High School diploma or GED
At least three yearsâ experience performing light proofreading and/or editing.
At least three years general office and administration experience.
At least three yearsâ experience utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint at an intermediate level.
Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)
Previous experience with editing software.
As a normal course of business, this job will typically require travel of up to 5% of the time.
