It’s ACCRUAL world out there – Come join our finance and accounting department!
We do a lot of spreadsheets, so we EXCEL at work!
Job Title: DIRECTOR, FINANCIAL REPORTING AND ANALYSIS
What you’ll do: This position is the right-hand of the Senior Director of Corporate Finance and Accounting. Do you love details, digging for information, and rising to and meeting challenges? If so, this is the job for you! You will dig in and consolidate the finance and accounting of a parent non-profit with multiple non-profit and for-profit international branches and subsidiaries and provide consolidated financial reports and analysis to the Leadership Team and Board Finance Committee. You will be both a leader and a collaborator in the annual budget and mid-year forecast process. You will provide technical assistance to our department and our program areas of health, agriculture, emergency and disaster relief and recovery, humanitarian assistance, impact investing, rural economic development, technology for development, and so many more! We have funding from unrestricted and restricted donors, such as USAID, FCDO, EU, World Bank, and many more to provide you with a challenge (including the annual NICRA calculation). You will have one direct report. Does it sound exciting? It is! We’re spreadsheet ninjas – are you, too?
About The Ideal Candidate: Details are your passion; you have a thirst for knowledge and want to know “why?” – why the numbers are up or down, and what trends they are showing. You can take finance and program-speak and convert it into a financial analysis explanation that is understood by all. You enjoy the challenge of making things more automated and efficient for staff. You are an awesome multi-tasker and communicator. You inspire your staff to greater heights of performance and support them when they falter. You work in the trenches with them, regardless of the task (you lead by example). You enjoy leading but are equally comfortable in a support role on a team. If this sounds like you, we want to meet you!
Requirements: This role requires a minimum of a four-year college degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A CPA/CMA/CA and/or a Master’s Degree is preferred. At least seven years of experience with increasing responsibilities, including three years of supervisory experience is required. This position could sit in one of our offices in Baltimore, MD or Washington, DC (our preference would be Baltimore if given a choice).
Location: Baltimore, MD or Washington, DC (Baltimore is the preference)
Why You Should Apply: Corus offers competitive salaries, discretionary bonuses, 100% employer paid Vision insurance, lots of paid leave, generous retirement program, flexible work schedules and so much more!
Call to action: Are you interested in being a key leader on our team? Apply for immediate consideration. We look forward to hearing from you.
