Jhpiego seeks a Deputy Chief of Party, Program (DCOP) to provide project and technical guidance for an upcoming USAID health activity. The project aims to increase Malians’ ability to plan, finance, and manage their health system and their own health at the family, household, community, district, regional, and national levels. The project will build the capacity and commitment of Malians to achieve sustained improvements in the health status of Malians through the following results: 1) Access to high-quality health services expanded; 2) Demand for and use of health services increased; and 3) Individual and household adoption of healthy behaviors increased.
The DCOP will work closely with technical implementation teams to ensure the project is progressing towards expected results. S/he will also work with M&E staff to ensure project deliverables are monitored and course corrections are identified and implemented as appropriate. Other responsibilities will include supervising project management or operational staff, overseeing annual work planning, leading the design, implementation and reporting of project activities, and the management of projects as required. In the absence of the Chief of Party, the DCOP may be required to undertake the responsibilities of that position on a temporary basis.
This position is contingent upon award from USAID. Malian nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.
