DAI/Human Dynamics is currently preparing for the forthcoming EU project “ Technical assistance in support of trade and development in Mozambique – Promove Comércio”. The Promove Comércio programme is financed on both the 11th EDF National Indicative Programme and the Regional Indicative Programme for Eastern Africa, Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean. The programme will enhance the capacity of the public and private sector in Mozambique to realize the benefits of the SADC – EU Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) by improving the country’s environment for trade and business and raising awareness of EPA opportunities among the private sector and other non-state actors.

Preferably, a Masters’ degree in Law, Economics, Customs Administration, Business Administration, International Trade or Tax Law or similar discipline of relevance to the assignment. In the absence of a master’s degree, professional experience of at least 10 years in the sector(s) directly related to this assignment.
Fluency in English. Knowledge of Portuguese will be considered as an advantage
General professional experience:
Preferably, 10 years’ professional experience in the field of regional integration, customs and customs reforms or equivalent sectors
Specific professional experience:
Preferably, 7 years working experience in Customs Administration and Trade Facilitation
Preferably, 5 years working experience with Customs/trade, border agencies, such as Immigration, Customs Authorities, Tax Authorities and/or Port Authorities
Familiarity with EU-SADC EPA and WTO trade facilitation reforms will be considered as an asset
Desirable experience in SADC countries
