Coordinate and implement development of weekly/monthly analysis pieces and other direct forms of program communications, including for social media.

Support IFES’ training programs as a co-facilitator conducting trainings in English, Sinhala or Tamil languages.

Monitor developments in the electoral and governance environment and provide written reports on political updates, as required.

Attend external briefings, meetings and events related to IFES’ programming and provide reports.

Assist with research and draft briefs and reports on a variety of issues including but not limited to: elections, representation of women, youth and disability inclusion, and relevant legal reforms.

Support the design and implementation of IFES’ inclusion activities (gender, disability, youth, and other vulnerable populations).

Support monitoring and evaluation efforts, in consultation with senior program leadership

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree required in international relations, law, social development or any other relevant field;

Minimum of five (5) years overall work experience in the international development sector, preferably with experience in governance related projects;

Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Required Skills and Abilities
-
Strong communications skills (writing, reading and speaking) with fluency in English and Sinhala OR Tamil is required.

Willing to travel outside of Colombo is required if/when COVID-19 allows;
-
Training/facilitation skills and experience would be an advantage.
