Job Responsibilities: | |
The Cost Preparer will provide the following services: · Lead cost/price proposal strategy, planning, and volume preparation in accord with IFES policies, and legal and donor requirements · Prepare and modify complex spreadsheets in Excel · Coordinate effectively with proposal manager, technical staff, subcontractors, and other associates to ensure that required cost data are thorough, accurate, and submitted on schedule · Write clear and compliant budget narratives to respond to requests for proposals and/or clients · Provide pricing guidance to proposal and business development teams to ensure that pricing strategy complies with donor requirements · Assist technical staff in completing budget realignments and costed modifications · In collaboration with proposal team, work with proposal writers to ensure budget and technical proposal are aligned. · Review proposal budgets for completeness and compliance with donor requirements · Facilitate trainings to staff related to cost and pricing and business compliance |

· Bachelor’s degree required · 3-5 years of related experience in proposal budget development and review for US government cost applications · Experience developing complex budgets for proposal submission to USAID, DOS, and/or DFID · Knowledge of USAID, DOS and/or DFID budgeting requirements and federal government regulations such as FAR, AIDAR · Advanced proficiency with Excel, particularly budget development and formula functions · Ability to adhere to proposal deadlines · Experience discussing and explaining budget and pricing with program and technical staff |
