The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has been working in Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) since 1992, and serves over 30 countries and territories in Central and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia, connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build better lives.
The UNDP Istanbul Regional Hub (IRH) for Europe and the CIS provides advisory support and knowledge management services to UNDP Country Offices and its partners in the ECIS region in the areas of Sustainable Development (including Poverty and Inequality; Green Economy and Employment; Extractive Industries), Governance and Peacebuilding (including HIV, Health and Development; Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Development; Anti-Corruption and E-Governance; Local Governance and Decentralization; Human Rights and Rule of Law), Gender Equality, Knowledge and Innovation, and Climate Change and Disaster Resilience. In addition, the Centre supports the programme development of these offices at the national level.
UNDP IRH also has ongoing partnerships with several NGOs and companies in order to promote SDGs and other internationally agreed development goals. One of these partnerships is with Galatasaray Sports Club. The partnership with Galatasaray was formalized on 28 April 2016 with the MOU signed between UNDP IRH and Galatasaray Sports Club. In line with the MOU, UNDP and Galatasaray will organize “Goals for Goals” match in May 2016 with the participation of international veteran football players.
Within the framework of the Regional Programme 2014-2017 and the MOU signed with Galatasaray, the UNDP New Partnerships and Emerging Donors Team in Istanbul seeks to hire an international consultant to undertake the responsibilities of the Private Sector and Non-Governmental Organizations Partnerships Advisor. The consultant will contribute to the implementation of the Regional Programme Output 4.3 “Partnerships”, in particular by enhancing the strategic partnership with Private Sector companies, particularly based in Istanbul and providing technical assistance on the partnerships with non-governmental organizations including CSOs and inter-governmental ones. In particular, the consultant will contribute to the organization of “Goals for Goals” match for the promotion and advocacy of the SDGs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Partnerships Team Leader and the Communications Team Leader and overall guidance by the Deputy Regional Director the Individual Consultant is expected to fulfill the following functions and produce outputs:

Evaluation of Applicants:
Individual consultants will be evaluated based on a cumulative analysis taking into consideration the combination of the applicants’ qualifications and financial proposal.
Only candidates who will get at least 70% of points in each stage of the technical evaluation (desk review and interviews respectively) will be considered for financial evaluation.
Technical Criteria – 70% of total evaluation – max. 35 points:
Financial Criteria – 30% of total evaluation – max. 15 points.
