IFC’s cash and marketable securities are separated into several sub-portfolios with a distinction drawn between the proceeds of IFC’s variable rate market borrowings (“Funded Liquidity”) and the Corporation’s paid-in capital and retained earnings (“Treasury Managed Portion of IFC’s Net Worth”). The Corporation also engages external managers for portions of Funded Liquidity and the Treasury Managed Portion of IFC’s Net Worth. The Liquid Assets Team is primarily responsible for managing that portion of IFC’s liquid assets not immediately required for disbursement to clients from Funded Liquidity.

The team is currently comprised of 4 portfolio managers, 4 assistant portfolio managers and one dedicated quantitative analyst. The team manages approximately USD 20 bln that is divided into 6 portfolios of different interest-bearing asset types. The successful candidate will assist the portfolio managers with the following: – Develop tools to measure relative value between fixed-income security types – Surveillance of the credit characteristics of (i) covered bonds and their issuers and (ii) collateral pools backing securitized products (e.g, ABS, RMBS, CMBS) and their sponsors and servicers – Security selection for portfolios of covered bonds and international securitized products, including detailed and documented credit and cashflow analysis – Gathering, analysis and maintenance of time-series data to predict, inter alia, securities’ returns, collateral performance for ABS/RMBS/CMBS (including macro-economic data series) – Trade execution and booking – Preparation and distribution of daily market updates distributed to the Corporation – Analysis of foreign exchange exposures/monitoring of reports – Understanding of the performance of various portfolios and preparation of descriptive reports thereof – Assistance with preparation of reports for financial accounting – Assistance with performance projections – Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting for internal clientsDRDuties and Accountabilities
