Rule of Law Initiative
Within region of responsibility, monitors and manages the performance of country programs. Provides general and financial oversight of grants and programs. Monitors and evaluates in-country programs and activities. Meets with local partners and donors. Develops concepts and proposals for new programs and manages strategy for obtaining funding. Participates in overall management of the zone, advising on strategy, program development, and administration.
Doctoral Degree (JD, PhD)
Must have a master’s or JD and at least 7 years of relevant experience in international development. Two years experience as a country director or deputy director preferred. Experience in working with USG-funded programs required, as is knowledge of legal reform issues. Proficiency in foreign language(s) preferred.
